Why Drink Coffee Balam
-
Traceable to the Source
Every bean comes from producers we know by name. Not just business partners, friends. Our coffee is also regulated by I-Cafe, a regulatory body that ensures transparency, by following our coffee every step of the way, from the farms, to the producers, to the look and taste of the coffee. Ensuring that what we serve you is true, fair trade, specialty coffee.
-
Supporting Indigenous Communities
5% of our profits go directly to the Committee for the Culture and Preservation of Matambugueño Traditions, helping keep Chorotega culture alive with every sip.
-
Blue Zone Quality
Grown in Costa Rica’s Nicoya Peninsula—one of only five Blue Zones in the world—our coffee is linked to health, longevity, and vibrant living. Also, the Nicoya Peninsula is the only Blue Zone in the world where coffee is grown.
