Tempisque Coffee
Tempisque Coffee
Named after the Tempisque River, a vital waterway that flows through Guanacaste, our Tempisque coffee is processed in the traditional washed method: fruits are de-pulped, beans are rinsed clean of their mucilage, and then sun-dried to the perfect moisture level. The result is a clean, balanced cup with chocolate, citrus, vanilla, and nutty notes, a classic Costa Rican profile.
As always, every purchase supports the indigenous Chorotega community through direct contributions to the Committee for the Culture and Preservation of Matambugueño Traditions. Coffee Balam is woman-owned, and every bag reflects our commitment to culture, quality, and care.
